Artwork and track listing for RAVAGE’s Metal Blade debut ‘The End of Tomorrow’

Los Angeles, CA – July 8, 2009 – Boston Massachusetts metalers RAVAGE are ready to unleash their Metal Blade Records debut, The End of Tomorrow on August 18^th 2009. Artwork was handled by the famed artist Ed Repka who is known best for his Megadeth covers as well as cover art for Death, Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, and Austrian Death Machine.  The End of Tomorrow seamlessly intertwines the sounds of New Wave of British Heavy Metal, late 80's American Thrash Metal and late 90's European power metal to showcase the band's signature style. The album is sure to be enjoyed by metal maniacs young and old as it blends the soaring vocal and guitar melodies of Iron Maiden and Helloween with the raw power of thrashers like Testament and Kreator, presented in a crisply modern production-style courtesy of producer Peter Rutcho.

Trevor Phipps to host this weekend’s Headbanger’s Ball; Unearth filming portions of upcoming tour

The Black Dahlia Murder release first single, reveal album title and track listing for new album

The Black Dahlia Murder has announced Deflorate as the title of their new album, which is scheduled for a September 15^th release. A Selection Unnatural, the first single, will begin streaming exclusively on RevolverMag.com on Tuesday, July 7^th.

Metal heads will be witnessing firsthand The Black Dahlia Murder’s energetic live show all summer on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival alongside label mates Cannibal Corpse, Job For A Cowboy, Behemoth and Whitechapel. The tour kicks off on July 10^th in Sacramento, CA. The Black Dahlia Murder will also be doing two meet and greets at Hard Rock Café locations during the festival. Unfurling A Darkened Gospel is the roll out track from JFAC’s celebrated sophomore album, Ruination, which is available everywhere now. Evergreen Terrace to post first single, launch new myspace

Jacksonville, Florida’s Evergreen Terrace have posted the first single from their upcoming full length, Almost Home. Enemy Sex is now available for fans to stream on the band’s myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/evergreenterrace.

Speaking on the significance of the new album’s title, James says, “We are a touring band, and it feels like we are forever saying we're ‘almost home.’   Touring is something that nothing compares to, but there's a feeling of almost being home that resonates with all of us. In a way the band has come full circle back to its original home. We started this band for fun, and it lead us to success. Writing this album has brought us back to the beginning. It has been fun, crazy, frustrating, insomniatic and even with the inevitable pressure, pretty carefree.”

Almost Home is the band’s 6^th studio album and will be available everywhere on September 29^th.

Evergreen Terrace’s drummer, Kyle Mims, was recently injured in a bike accident and suffered a broken collar bone.

“On July 2^nd, Kyle went back to the doctors and they told him that if he wants to continue to play drums he will have to have surgery. The surgery will cost him $10,000. They require $5,000 up front and the other $5,000 once the surgery is complete. His emergency room bills, tests, ambulance ride, etc. is estimated to be an additional $10,000. He was very close to receiving health insurance thru his work, but unfortunately this happened before it did.

CANNIBAL CORPSE: Evisceration Plague graphic novel available exclusively through Hot Topic on this summer’s Rockstar Mayhem Festival

Los Angeles, CA – July 2, 2009 – Death-metal icons CANNIBAL CORPSE are issuing a limited-edition 96 page comic book exclusively at the Hot Topic booth on this summer’s Rockstar Mayhem Festival tour. Drawn entirely by Vince Locke, who illustrated the acclaimed graphic novel ‘A History of Violence’ and each of the band’s album covers, the Evisceration Plague comic graphically depicts a story for every song on the band’s album of the same name—arranged in order, no less. As an added bonus, each copy comes with a copy of the album.

“Vince Locke has done an incredible job turning our lyrics into blood-soaked and vicious illustrations for the Evisceration Plague comic book. He really has captured visually what we were trying convey lyrically. Behemoth Forced to Cancel Canadian Summer Slaughter dates

Polish Blackened Death all stars Behemoth have been denied entry into Canada today to meet up with the Edmonton and Calgary stops of the Summer Slaughter tour. PLEASE NOTE BOTH EDMONTON AND CALGARY SUMMER SLAUGHTER SHOWS ARE STILL HAPPENING WITH HEADLINERS NECROPHAGIST AND SUFFOCATION! Immigration officers informed Behemoth of a new regulation regarding Polish citizens entering Canada that had changed while the band was en route to the shows. With Canada Day and the 4th of July there was no way for them to obtain the last minute forms they required to enter the country.

Here is the official statement from the band: “We couldn't be more devastated, having to cancel these shows is one of the worst things we have had to do as a band. Canada has always treated Behemoth well and we were still fired up from our show in Montreal and Toronto. We can't wait to get back to these cities as soon as possible, see you all in Spokane when we meet back up with the tour!"

Behemoth is still slated to play on this year’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour on the Hot Topic Stage here in the states.

Their history is a winding one marked by lineup shifts, temporary paralysis, haunted studios, and the survival of one of the five most destructive hurricanes in US history. Influenced by the raw savagery of bands like Venom and Celtic Frost, their unrefined, fuck-all approach to black metal first revealed on the Serenades To The Tides Of Blood demo and expanded upon on the now legendary Eclipse Of Ages Into Black debut nearly a decade ago earned the band instant underground credibility.

Fresh off a successful US tour as direct support to pagan-loving label-mates Amon Amarth, Goatwhore has now teamed up with Abigail Williams for the Conquer & Curse Tour 2009, which will cover over 60 dates throughout North America. Joining the tour will be Daath, Abysmal Dawn and Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky. From there, the band will embark on another US jaunt with Obituary through the fall.

In an oversaturated metal landscape where sub-genres spawn sub-sub-genres and the very definition of “metal” seems blurred by cross-pollinating madness, sacred are the bands who stay true to their roots. Goatwhore spew the sort of sinister, fist-clenching, speaker-searing sound that made metal so forbiddingly enticing in the first place. The year of the ‘Whore is truly upon us! Carving out the Eyes of God was released June 23^rd, 2009.

Evergreen Terrace drummer Kyle Mims injured in bike accident

This just in from Evergreen Terrace:

“After yesterday's (July 1^st) practice, Kyle (drummer) was in a horrific bike accident. He was rushed to the emergency room and released late last night full of stitches and a broken clavicle (collar bone).

Unfortunately he will have to have surgery and physical therapy for the next 4-8 weeks. So for obvious reasons he will not be with us on our upcoming headlining shows or the Summer Slob tour with The Acacia Strain. Please wish Kyle a quick recovery. He's pretty bummed out.

Caleb James, our long time roadie and drummer for Casey Jones, will be taking over drum duties for now. Check out all dates on our myspace.

Yesterday, July 2^nd, Kyle went back to the doctors and they told him that if he wants to continue to play drums he will have to have surgery. The surgery will cost him $10,000. They require $5,000 up front and the other $5,000 once the surgery is complete. His emergency room bills, tests, ambulance ride, etc. is estimated to be an additional $10,000. He was very close to receiving health insurance thru his work, but unfortunately this happened before it did.

Kyle's mom and stepdad (Stacy and Mark Earle) have set up a donation site if you are interested. If not, then please keep him in your thoughts.
